15th Annual Oktoberfest and Car Show
Welcome to the 15th Annual Oktoberfest and Car Show! We held our show at Stokes VW on Ashley Phosphate Rd. We had 53 cars register for the event, which was over double from last year. What an incredible amount for a club whose motto is
"Little Car, Little Club".
Several cars were new to the
event and some were our loyal supporters who come every year. Many thanks
too those who helped to make this show a success, the racers, the
bussinesses, the participants, the members, and our
friends..
The real winner of this year's event though
is Happy Days and Special
Times. Our event raised
$1200.00 to support this fine organization that helps kids make it through a
terrible time in their young lives, which is why we hold this event every year!
Their mission is to give children diagnosed with cancer and their families many
tomorrows... today, providing year-round programs, special events, emotional
support and financial assistance. They give hope, self-esteem and the will to
fight one more round. So, Thanks to you, the die-hard VW enthusiast, (which is
synonymous with kind-hearted), you have truly given these kids a very special
gift!!
Thanks so much to everyone who donated time, money, food, sodas, door prizes and other things to make this event a success. We're looking forward to our show for next year, the 16th year, which makes us one of the longest running clubs in the local area, just like the car we so love.....!
